New Delhi tries to reach deal with drugs groups over treatment for AIDS patients Financial Times India's plan to offer free anti-retroviral drug therapy to more of its HIV-positive and AIDS patients hinges on an agreement with the country's generic drugs industry to sell cheaper medicines. Sushma Swaraj, the health minister, said this week the government was in talks with the drugs companies to provide anti-retroviral drugs at less than 38 US cents a day.
