Trials of AIDS vaccine to start in Switzerland and the U.K.
Clinical trials of a new vaccine against HIV, organized by EuroVacc, start in Switzerland and the U.K. in June to test DNA-C, developed by Professor Hans Wolf of the University of Regensburg, Germany, and its booster, NYVAC, developed by the French pharmaceutical company Aventis. Trials of AIDS vaccine to start in India
Phase I trials will begin later this year or early next year. The International AIDS Vaccine Initiative has been working closely with the Indian Council of Medical Research and the National AIDS Control Organisation since December 2000 to develop and evaluate AIDS vaccines in India.
